To do this you just need to collect all 10 protoplasm blobs in the factory.
Some are

• hidden throughout the factory,
• one is obtained by repairing the 9th machine,
• and the final ones are all at the end as you ascend the ladder.

You can only hold so much protoplasm at once, so don't be afraid to go back to the workshop, upgrade your gear, and then come back and get more protoplasm.
Don't forget to collect any partial blobs that you didn't fully vacuum up!

1. After you fix the 1st machine, you'll reach an elevator.
   As you ascend, stop the elevator to enter a small a cave to the right.
   Complete the puzzle to get access to the blob (5:00)

2. Before you reach the 3rd machine, you'll find a machine that spits both lava and water.
   You need to stop the water by placing some seeds near the pipe in order to stop the spinning hooks.
   When you make it across, you'll see the blob below you.
   You need to do the same thing with the lava in order to reach it (8:40)

3. After you fix the 3rd machine and climb the stairs, you'll find a huge spinning wheel.
   You must spin at a high speed and throw yourself at the top left of the screen to reach a cave with the blob (10:40)

4. Before the 7th machine, you'll have to create some steam in order to raise a platform.
   Get on the platform and you'll see a red arrow pointing to the right.
   Ignore it for now and go to the top to find the Blob. (22:05)

5. This blob is near the end of the level when you go through the columns with numbers and it is past column #9.
   You'll have to fix all 9 machines to unlock it. (30:35)

7. 8. 9. 10. The final four protoplasms you can't miss, right after you exit underneath the boss you beat. (35:55)
