ust finished this on the second walkthrough, the first was to collect everything and learn the death spots, here are some of my notes.
Throne of the Bone God is the most dangerous note (Northwest), the escape route has falling rocks that can 1-hit kill you and some ledges are loose, oh yeah, the yellow fog is also behind you and thats always bad news. Use your first walkthrough to perfect this escape.
You can easily get lost to the path to the church (southwest) and there are some enemies patrolling, very dangerous if you dont know where you are going, learn the way on your first walkthrough and also how to run from when the yellow fog starts at the bridge until the church.
Beware the pits near the hunter's lodge, some are open but some are hidden.. if you see an area of white snow, there is probably a pit trap around, this is the reason why the devs put a lot of small stones around the area so you can distinguish where to step, even though is super dark, dont use the flashlight around here, phantoms patrol the place.
On your way to the Tree, you might stumble through the forest and it will begin to fill with yellow fog, a lot of good spirits will run among you, head to the river. The Yellow Fog doesnt spread to the frozen river.
On your first playthrough, learn where the note is inside the burning forest, there are three phantoms patrolling in there, use the noise the note makes to pinpoint its location faster, its usually on the middle western side of the forest.
In the caves on your way to the note (northeast) where a lot of candles are (you might have fallen from a ledge), you can crouch into some passages to the right and pass the patrolling phantoms that way.
You can sprint for 10 seconds, wait 6 seconds and then sprint again, moving fast around the map.
Needless to say, phantoms are easy to avoid, just dont use the flashlight and do not run away if you get close to them, ever.. just walk away.
It takes around an hour to pull it off, I thought it was going to be harder honestly, just dont panic or rush through the escapes, it's fine.
Good luck!
