You can get this achievement two ways: naturally or boosting it.

To get it naturally just pick a companion you like that matches your playstyle and play the game. To boost this achievement do the following:

1. Once you get the power armour at Concord, after helping a certain group of people, take it back to Sanctuary.
2. Go to the Atom Cats garage (on the East coast, South-East from Sanctuary) and pick up Hot Rodder issue #2 inside a trailer. This will give you the power armour Shark paintjob.
3. Go back to sanctuary and make Codsworth your follower.
4. Build a chair next to the power armour station and apply the shark paintjob to a power armour component (Codwsworth loves you modifying weapons and armour).
5. Wait 48hrs on the chair.
6. Apply "No Material Mod" and then re-apply the shark mod.
7. Repeat 5-6 until the achievement pops.

The benefit of this method is that you can apply the shark paintjob for free so this requires no materials. If materials are not a concern do the same thing, but create weapon mods instead - this will also help you pop the Amred and Dangerous achievement.
