Through out the tutorial level, a duck will explain the controls of the game. At the very end the duck will float in water while teaching you how to control your swim. DO NOT go onto the land on the right, simply jump onto the duck and bounce off of him.

If you accidentally finished the tutorial or have already finished it some time ago, simply create a new save, it will make you play through the tutorial again.
