When an orc attack eventually pops up, destroy as many buildings as you can on your own to divert their attention to the main building. I had some issue with this one initially.

If that doesn't work, try starting a new game on hard difficulty, building up everything (EXCLUDING an architect's house), and waiting. You can speed up the time. It should inevitably be destroyed.
