In order to unlock this character, you need to get 10,000 yearly points at the end of each 'year'. (Month 4). Once you have that, you'll get the character unlock. To get the achievement itself, you need to hire it.

At the end of each game 'year', several aspects of your game is 'tallied up' into a score. It can be difficult to get a high enough score on your first playthrough without really sacrificing your boxers ability to compete.

Your score each year is calculated using:

• Funds divided by 10000
• Total photos multiplied by 3
• Yearly smile points divided by 10
• Total popularity divided by 100
• Total championships divided by 100
• Total damage dealt divided by 10

I got this well past the 'endgame' point when I had a character strong enough to handle the wairobot levels with ease by focus training it. Just piled cash for a year straight and spammed the matches over and over.
