A Close Shave

You can shoot up any shambler with anything until it's close to death then finish it off with the axe and it'll give you credit. Make sure you have high health and some armour before attempting because they hit pretty hard in melee range.

The Shambler Dance

Start level END: Shub-Niggurath's Pit on EASY.

Clear the piranhas using the shotgun you start with (don't use the thunderbolt while in the water, it will instagib you). Grab some air, go down the hallway underwater to fight another piranha and to open the bars, revealing the second room. Once you're through that passage - go for air again. You'll see a scrag, some health, a shotgun, along with a teleporter. Kill the scrag, collect everything, and go through the teleporter to a hall with a moving spiked ball. Follow the spiked ball down the hall (yay for rhymes), collecting all the weapons along the way.

At the end of the 'hall', you'll see a shambler in a lava pit along with the boss herself through a doorway on the right. Use the thunderbolt on the shambler. When it charges it's lightning attack, sidestep behind the doorway. You should kill it quickly this way. If you want to save the thunderbolt charge, another option for a weapon is the super nailgun although it is slower. Rockets + grenades do half damage against shamblers so avoid using those.
