When you start the highway exam, after you do the necessary things (blinker & seatbelt), make a U-turn from your starting point. The finish point is about 100m behind where you start. Weirdly, driving against the direction of traffic does not count as a mistake. You can finish the exam pretty fast this way.

Also, when you reach the finish, if you hit an oncoming car and get pushed back to the spot, it counts as if you finished the exam twice. You can reach 250k exp within half an hour tops.
