Falcom has published 2 language versions of the same game on Steam

    • The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel (538680)
    • The Legend of Heroes: Sen no Kiseki I KAI -Thors Military Academy 1204- (1450120)

with slight differences in control settings, but with the same number of corresponding achievements. The 2 versions can share the saves, located at: C:\Users[YourName]\Saved Games\Falcom, Folder "ed8" and Folder "Sen_no_Kiseki_I_Kai", respectively. Cross-loading for a new+ game is perfect. However, normal loading may lead to some movement glitches because of DLC costumes. These gltiches disapear by going to another map.

As the game requires a minimum of 2 playthroughs, for those who want to perfect these 2 games, the most efficient way is to play 1st playthrough in one version (Hard Difficulty) and 2nd (new+ with Nightmare difficulty) in another version. For those who have difficulties to understand languages in 2 versions (and don't want to use a translation patch or tool), maybe stick to preferred language version for 2 playthroughs, and make saves just before unlocking any achievement, such as before beating a boss. These saves can be used to perfect another version.

Because of this trick, the order of achievement unlocking can be strange, e.g., maybe Chapter 5 then Chapter 2. The achievement requiring to play 100 hours could be a combined play time of the 2 versions (PS: total time can be still less than 100 hours because of acceleration/Turbo mode in game).

Turbo mode can accelerate time flow by around 4-5 times. Therefore, the fastest way is to idle in game holding down "Ctrl".

Note that, in another Steam version of this game (The Legend of Heroes: Sen no Kiseki I KAI -Thors Military Academy 1204- (1450120)), the Turbo mode cannot make time flow faster. However, the save files can be shared between the 2 Steam versions, with minor movement glitches, which disapear later after going to another map.
