Despite what the description for this achievement states, you do not need any friends to get it. You simply need to start a multiplayer lobby, select that you're ready, then begin the match. The achievement will pop after you do this, and a race will begin. So it's completely soloable, with no tricks or anything. Quite simple!

This achievement requires you to finish a race, which can be done completely solo. Start up a multiplayer lobby, click ready, then start the match. Then, complete three laps around the track. The achievement will pop moments after you complete the race.
